POTTY TRAINING

So I am really not sure what I am doing wrong but I CANNOT get Izabella to potty anymore. She has done it some but now she'd rather just do it in her diaper. I mean she can sit on that pot for 15mins and then the second she is up and has her diaper on she will pee right in her diaper. I tried taking her in the bathroom when Mommy goes but that doesn't work. We have read books, I have even got stickers and a chart that even if she sits on the potty she would get a sticker but that doesn't help at all. She even has the "big girl panties"....NOPE DOESN'T WORK. If anyone has ANY advice please please share. I know I don't want to force her to do this but I don't want my little girl to be 6 and pottying on herself.

HELP ME PLEASE!

  1. Well I have never potty trained a little girl but I watched Dr. Phil the other day and he had a special about potty training. He says the key to potty training is getting them to potty train a doll. It has to be a doll that pees. After she gets the doll to pee in the potty, you throw a big party. Then, she will see how exciting it is and want to do it. He says get her to drink LOTS of fluids and then make 9 trips to the potty to try and pee pee. Eventually she will and when she does, throw a HUGE party about it. Like I said, I have never potty trained a child so I have no clue. Just thought I would share what I learned from Dr. Phil. haha He really thinks this works! I hope this helps. Good luck! =)

  2. I don't know ANYTHING about potty training but I don't think you should stress too much about it. She's a smart little girl and I doubt seriously that she will be anywhere close to six when she finally decides to use the potty. She may just be testing you. I remember when Garrett refused to eat baby food my pediatrician said it could be because he sees how stressed out it makes me and he's playing a game with me.

What do I know?? Good luck. I'm sure she'll come around eventually :)

  4. Girl I wish I could help. I'm still trying to figure out how dookie escapes from pampers! Heather's idea sounds like a good idea, but Angie is right she'll do it when shes ready. I know you are anxious but you know who cares the exact age she is! No need for both of you to be stressed out about it. ( I know it is easier said than done hhaha in a few years I will be calling you saying "Ashley, help, I can't get Hayden to go in the potty!" hahah) Good Luck girl!! If I see any tips I will send them your way :)
